This weekend, we took the newly up and running A train out to Rockaway to get our fill of sunburn and tacos and surf and sand. I’ve counted four times on my fingers to make sure I’m getting this right, but I’m pretty sure this is the eighth summer that James and I have spent together. If this is what getting old feels like, I don’t mind it one bit.

In case you’re in need of an extra dose of sunshine on this gloomy Monday: a few of our beach days in motion.

One of my plans for my impending NY trip is to go to Rockaway. At least I'll recognise some stuff now!

If the fish tacos here ever looked that good, I'd totally eat them. As it is, they're always a little limp and scary looking :/

I love that you called your old beach days a minimoon! I may borrow that – we are taking a little weekend trip this weekend to the beach just to get away after getting married last month. Our real honeymoon will be in Argentina later this year when it is summer there! A little movie is a lovely way to remember a minimoon!
