five little things that made my week.
1. this view.
{because this week is the last week that i will have to stare at it. and though i’ll miss good old debbie and jerry in the library, i will not miss this. at all}.
2. frozen edamame.
{because not only can it be a yummy snack, it can also help to repair the damage caused by my poor little foot’s run-in with a stiletto. i hope. and mom, i still love you}.
3. our fan.
{because having it to keep me cool while working on french translations this week made it all possible}.
4. james’s big bertha zoom lens.
{because it let me get pictures of street signs from the car window when i couldn’t quite hobble to them myself. thanks also to james, my chauffeur}.
5. licorice jelly beans.
{because they’ve been sitting lonely and neglected since easter, but this week james used them to leave me a little love note. he’s cute and resourceful, too}.
so, what little something made your week?

Liquorice jelly beans are AMAZING!
It is quite sad really, but my husband put a pic on twitter of the biscuits I made a couple of days ago, and it just made me smile!
Your James is one charming fellow! Hope your foot is on the mend. 🙂
I love the ” I LOVE YOU” beans…….so fantastic!
I hope your foot gets better soon! xoxo
Many things made my week, but one especially cute “thing” was my 3 1/2 year old, autistic daughter finishing my quote from the movie Wall-E. I asked, “Directive?” in my best Wall-e voice and she answered without missing a beat, “Classified.” It made me laugh so hard. I’ll be telling that story long past it’s cuteness expiration date, I’m sure.
Thanks for sharing your week. I hope the edamame helped your foot. It is a delicious snack.
I love your photographic lists. It’s such a good way to put the week in (a rose-colored) perspective. And edamame makes me very happy, too.
Edamame, mmmmm. I just got back from a fruitful thrifting trip, so I’d say that made my week!
A fresh pineapple I cut up for dessert
the squirrel I watched in the backyard collecting mouthfuls of dried grass to build a cozy nest for him and his little lady
Finishing projects and flowers from my honey made my week. I love the lists you do and your sweet looking fan.
Major points to James for that last one!
the vintage fan is so lovely!! 🙂
edamame are awesome!
yum edamame so salty, so yum …
my garden…full of flowers
that jelly bean love note is so cute! what a sweet boy you have!
hope your foot is feeling better! I know what its like to have a foot out of commission, though mine was by choice (after I got my tattoo last week, I could hardly walk for three days! but I’m better now…)
hope you are having a good weekend!
this is adorable. I love edamame. mmm…with sea salt.
