i told you i would revisit wisteria. this time it’s the southern france variety, from the home of my dear friends eliane et françois. when i first wrote about this beautiful member of the sweet-pea family, a few of you mentioned never having smelled it before. rush out. find some. breathe deeply. you will be smitten. in this small town in the l’arrière-pays of southern france, the glycine drapes itself from everything. some blooms get to be over a meter long. as you can see, the result is magical. hope these little photos brighten your morning.

I love the look of it! This patio is quite wonderful too with all of it’s plants – I would spend hours at a time siting there if it was mine.
