1. this stack of books.
{because they’re flagrantly breaking my nightstand rule of one. ah well.}
2. this food scrap news.
{because after six years of bringing compost to the farmers’ market, we have curbside pickup. SO PUMPED.}
3. these lilacs. 
{because double the petals!}
4. this mirror in a new spot.
{because i felt like making a tiny change.}
5. this bowl o’ dinner.
{because it was still light out when we ate it. not because couscous is toddler- adult-friendly.}

I love the way you make a point to celebrate the littlest joys. It makes me feel not that weird about being so happy about the way the sunlight hits a stack of books on my dresser.

So jealous of your curbside pickup! We are still figuring out the best greenmarket to take ours to since the move (also, we are lazy) and thus have a freezer full of food scraps.
So pumped! Plus they accept *all* kinds of food scraps, so even little morsels of cooked food get made into compost! No trash ever! Yip, yip!
Second the jealousy. But also grateful to be living somewhere with a drop off at the Farmer’s Market. When we compost the food scraps, we basically produce one small can of trash per week, and it’s amazing!
Is the curbside pickup a new thing or did it just become available in your area and your building just started? We’ve had it in our neighborhood for a while but our land lord opts out because I think he enjoys the social interaction of bringing to the market haha.

Love the compost pick-up! We have monthly yard waste compost pickup, but not food compost pickup. I have a compost pile in the backyard, but we got ants last year, so we can’t keep our compost caddy any more 🙁 I take out what I can, but it’s definitely less that it should be!

Had to laugh about the crossed out toddler friendly cous cous. It’s a favorite in our house. My 6 and 9 yr old boys loved it from the start, but cleaning up after it is an uphill battle still to this day.
