Under dried leaves, snowdrops.
On my mind, sunshine.
In the forecast, rain.
At the end of branches, fuzz.
Over cold ankles, no socks.
Under the tongue, a tincture.
On my forehead, trimmed bangs.
In my water bottle, fruit water.
At farmers’ markets, wind-blown pansies.
On tiny feet, rain boots.
Bedside, tissues.
In my tea cup, nettles.
Across the street, the sunny side.
Under bodega lights, daffodils.
In the hallway, umbrellas.
Tracked inside, mud.
In the heels of socks, holes.
On my walk home from work, daylight.

So much hope instilled in that last line. 🙂
a lovely litany. thank you, Erin for your words and photos, today’s monthly and daily, always.
I love this series. A lot. Not only has it inspired me to write my own “How to know” musings but it’s also prompted me to revisit some of my favorite seasonal writings.
This is such a sweet and simple series, Erin. Thank you, as always, for painting such a lovely picture.
Warm wishes from a currently very stormy California. x
I’m so interested in the tinctures . I’m assuming you recommend it since you linked to it; however, any details on your experience with it would be super helpful. Thank you!
i love herbal remedies and tinctures of all stripes and i love to experiment with new ones, which this is for me! totally an individual question though, so hard to recommend necessarily for anyone else!
I love the way you write and describe things. And seeing flowers grow again is definitely a welcome sight, especially after months of bare branches and snow.
Love it! I have been looking forward to this post ever since I read the previous two. It also makes me thing what does the month represent for me.
These month posts may be my very favorite of yours. Love them. Keep up the good work.
Oh no! What happened to the scarf?! Stowed away for fall, perhaps?
