my week in objects (mostly).

August 24, 2018

five little things that made my week.

1. this camisole.

{made from cleaner silk and very lovely to wear (on repeat).}

2. this soft landing spot.

{for belonging to a baby just five blocks away.}

3. this floss
{because in the past month i’ve flossed roughly 100 percent more than i have in the entirety of my life. sucker for (a lack of) packaging.}

4. this bed.

{for belonging to a sister, just five blocks away.}

5. this husband hat.

{and to james for being a hero of a parent, this week and always.}

other things:

reclaiming real, genuine alone time.

balm with a purpose.

essentials.

everywhere and nowhere.

reversible wrap.

bookmarking joy.

rebels.

fairy wings.

free-range kids.

meadow.

to ogle while it lasts.

    i love love love your posts and photos about your sister. i wish with my entire being that my sister lived 5 blocks away. she’s only 2 hours away but on so many days lately, 2 hours feels like forever. sisters are the best.

    That headboard is such a dream — my jaw actually dropped when I saw it on Instagram. And I’m very interested in the floss recommendation! It’s one of the hardest items of plastic to cut out of my routine. Well, that and potato chips.

    Love the cami but stay away from drycleaning…. any chance you hand wash?

      Always hand wash! No problems here!

    I totally floss more since buying that zero waste floss. I have no idea why–I think part of it is that I wasn’t buying any floss at all because I felt guilty about the plastic packaging.

    I’m so happy you have your sister back. Like I said on IG, I just did the opposite–left my sisters on the east coast and moved out west. It’s terrible! Harder than I thought it would be. I’m surprised at how many people don’t understand that sister bond…

    Have you tried toothpaste tabs? I know there are tooth powders but it seems so messy–toothpaste tablets seem easier. I’d love to know if you’ve tried it and what you thought.

      Haven’t tried! Intrigued!

        Lush sells them, and a few other people. I’m almost out of toothpaste and will try it!

    I love a simple camisole, so easy to wear! (And so easy to get away with wearing it on repeat, haha)
