1. this little boat.
{inspired by these beauties. ps. i made a new board to stockpile inspiration for project requests from a certain almost-five-year-old.}
2. this spirea.
{and its jaunty little contrast against a dark dresser.}
3. this wheat grass.
{but mostly the two kids delighted by its daily development.}
4. these flowers in a vial.
{because it was time to say goodbye to the dried winter stalks and welcome something green (and purple).}
5. the arrival of this raincoat.
{because i could walk home for an hour, hood up, without rushing my small companion.}
other things:
the future, no matter what it looks like, is what we are leaving to our children.

It’s so exciting to see you highlight one of my dear friends blogs (hulaseventy.blogspot.com)! Her writing is so juicy. I hope she writes a book someday!
Oh, me too! Andrea’s was one of the very first blogs I read. I’m so glad she’s still here.
oh gosh, thank you, both of you! honored! xx
Read the pumping/breastfeeding article while breastfeeding, the impossible yet important quest. I always love the links you post at the end of your week, it’s my weekend morning reading list. Sometimes enjoyed alone with coffee, now more recently with a babe in my arms. I truly appreciate your work.
Thank you, thank you!!
Ne serait-ce pas plutôt “its jaunty little…” ?
Love your MY WEEK IN OBJECTS posts too!
Have a wonderful W.E.!
Ben, oui, mais on peut pas être parfait tout le temps 😉
Those life hacks: yes.
Oh good, another use for my stockpile of empty capers jars – hang up some flowers!
I love when your glimpses of life with Silas line up so perfectly with my life with my same-age little one 🙂 I spent much of the weekend trying to slow down and give him the space to take 15 minutes to traverse our small front yard (with sticks! and rocks! and gasp, dandelions!) and get into his carseat (“My climb, my do it!”) We don’t have anywhere so urgent to be, not really, but it can be hard not to rush him nonetheless!
Ha! The joy continues! The rainy walk was actually with Faye, stopping to pick up every bit of glittery trash along our route!
Those life hacks were wonderful! I need a few canvas dropcloths for messes :/
