I tried to ask for gift cards to restaurants and cleaning services and laundry services and used baby things, but my MIL wouldn’t let me put that on the invitation. She doesn’t really approve of my trying to be earth friendly and people kind. Sigh. I’ll do better by my children if they will let me/want me to.
Love the nail polish, the tree, and especially love to see the wintry library books. There are so many with beautiful illustrations, wise and adventurous stories waiting on library shelves for their young readers. The message, too, for children, of community sharing, warms my heart. Sigh. Warm wishes to all.

Hmm. I think it’s a darker shade than Pepper, and I vaguely remember a name that was a slightly more traditional first name…which narrows it down not very much, but I’m 99% sure it’s not Pepper…though it looks lovely!

Erin, Thank you for the Christmas Alone link– so many good ideas there. It’s not that I’ll be alone, but am older and so no longer a Christmas Recipient or a Christmas Maker — just a participant. Lots of down time –And the losses pile up year after year after year. I have learned to focus on the actual religious meaning of the day and on Christmas music — there is so much out there — usually free — bells and choirs and cantantas and elementary schools singing in malls. It is wonderful and any addition to the audience is usually greatly appreciated. Sort of a variation on volunteering!
