too hot to do anything more, i decided on a simple compote: water + sugar + rhubarb + heat.
paired with creamy yogurt and topped with brown sugar, it was just the tangy treat we needed.
better late than never, right?

confession… never have had rhubarb (as far as i know).
So good…and that's where most of the nutrition is! Sorry I've been slack with commenting, it's always a pleasure to visit you though;)
What a good idea. I've always been too intimidated to try cooking anything with rhubarb! Inspiring.
Better late than never! I agree with Felicia, rhubarb does seem intimidating yet you made it look so simple.
Oh rhubarb! What a wonderful way to enjoy it.
the parfait looks delicious and it is mighty hot this week. good weather for surfing. have you seen the current issue of house beautiful? it's all about small spaces, including a 300 sq ft apartment in brooklyn that is very colorful.

yum, the boyfriend is obsessed with rhubarb and he would love this. Hope all is going well for you in the city 🙂
I'm generally anti-rhubarb, but those look good enough to potentially convert me.
I have never cooked nor tried rhubarb! i need to though. this weekend I want to master making homemade greek yogurt
Man I love rhubarb and this looks absolutely yummy, loving the idea of yoghurt with it and these are beautifully presented.
I'm sitting here eating yogurt with granola, wishing I had time to make compote with the rhubarb in my fridge to top it off. Perhaps tomorrow. This really looks very good.
