dogwood.

two weeks ago i had my dad cut a big branch from the dogwood tree in my parent’s back yard. i shoved the thing into the backseat of the car and made my way back to providence, hoping that a warm apartment would encourage it to bloom. seems like my being away in philly last week was just the space it needed to unfurl. when i came home there were dogwood blossoms by our bedside. just what i had hoped for.
