five little things that made my week.
1. this blooming amaryllis. {because it says something awfully nice about patience}.
2. this cozy blanket. {because we’ve wanted one of these for so long. and now it’s ours}.
3. this glass stopper.
{because i found it buried in a box and it’s almost as pretty as a flower and perfect for winter}.
4. these real-deal boots.
{because they’re just like the first pair i got when i was ten. only better}.
5. this new calendar.
{because it’s nice to have a little something new to ring in a new year and brighten up the joint}.
what little something made your week?

You've now made me long for a pair of cowboy boots! I also seem to have a vague memory of maybe having a pair of red ones as a kid…
Amaryllises are so gorgeous! Especially in the height of winter. And that calendar is just perfect!
There are some mighty lovely objects in your life! The calendar is adorable ā”
I've just discovered your blog and I love the way you focus on all the day-to-loveliness in our lives. It's quite refreshing and inspiring. As a fellow M.A. student (art history), I can relate to the need to slow down a bit admist all the reading and research and writing. I look forward to reading more!
So many lovely things! I have been coveting those blankets for well over a year! I'm so glad you have one to call your own. I'm off to window shop again.
Beautiful! I love that calendar tea towel. I'm in dire need of a new calendar and have resolved to be more green this year – what a perfect solution!

love every single one. happy weekend!
I really love all of these – but the first photo in particular is gorgeous. Such sharp focus!
I think the little thing that made my week was using my new diary for the first time – picture of it is over on my blog at http://tea-breaks.blogspot.com, but basically it's a lovely leather diary and it smells wonderful and leathery and new, and looks gorgeous!

I recently started reading your blog, and I love the way you offer little glimpses into your life. And it's wonderful to find a fellow Providence-dweller!
Your blanket does look quite cozy.
What little something made my week? Watching Made in Dagenham in a quiet theater yesterday afternoon. I'm so thankful for all of the women who have fought so that we can have the rights we have today.
