well, you guessed it. another busy week chez moi. busy making summer plans, embarking on projects i’m not quite sure i have the expertise to ever finish, arranging for an earth day extravaganza with a truck farm, interviewing, being interviewed. grad school. is. nutso. but, this week is spring break. and while my “break” is going to be chock full of more of the above, i’m still thankful not to have to worry about getting myself to class.
last night james and i headed to federal hill for a sweet treat. turns out there’s not a lot that chocolate cake drowning in raspberry coulis can’t fix. and as far as i’m concerned, there are worse vices.
this morning i’m up extra early, finally finding the time to read all of your posts from the last few weeks. i’ve been away too long, and you guys are lovely. here, a few posts among many that have me smiling this rainy morning:
this picnic, styled by chelsea. if i could be transported somewhere…
this post about home, by abby.
lynne’s vintage bug postcards.
these unbelievable flower walls spotted by amy.
these vintage botanicals from the snail and the cyclops.
rachel’s friday flowers, three ways.
and this spring luncheon from beauty everyday. i’m all about the daffodils. more on this later.

daffodils are the best. there are wild ones growing along the backroads that i take home from class, and i stop to pick them about once a week. they smell divine!
I'm with you.. there are definitely worse vices, I'm very content with my vice of choice (sugar). So glad you're finally having some time to breath, there's nothing better after constant chaos. have a lovely week! xox
Great links! I have been really taken with the daffodils this spring too, they're so cheery. They make everything better.
take care of you and enjoy one less thing during the break (by one less i mean getting to class)
and yum, cake does make everthing better.
Enjoy your break, dear – even if it's simply not having to worry to get yourself to class. 🙂
xoox,

It sounds like you are doing so many wonderful and exciting things.. though it's sometimes scary.. it feels rewarding in the end I am sure.
So happy you liked the greenhouse picnic:)
Those daffodils are lovely!
welcome back. say, when are you coming to nyc?!
I hope things settle down for you a bit. It would be a shame to miss Spring! Take it easy 🙂
Ooh great links! Thanks for posting but I have to go now because I seem to have developed an insatiable desire for chocolate cake drowning in raspberry 😉
enjoy your break and i love the daffodils photographed at night!
I just found your blog and love it! I think you might like mine too: ellenitza. Stop by when you have a minute.
daffodils are my faaavorite. i have some pictures of them myself for later this week, so make sure you check them out for spring smiles 🙂
Happy Spring, Erin! Enjoy and take little breaks to breathe in the Spring air and eat chocolate. I think that is the best vice ever. xo
