in november, james and i snagged bunches of these orange, red, and yellow carrots from the black river farm stand at the farmer’s market. we wanted to have local produce to eat this winter, so we froze them. tonight we pulled out a few to use in our north-african inspired dinner. they look beautiful when they’re fresh (especially with their bright green tops) but i think the frost on these ones make them look enchanted. and they were. so good.
