this weekend marks one year that james and i have lived in our little 2nd story abode. a year ago tonight, james and i packed our little things into a little truck and drove precisely two little blocks to a new apartment that was (and is) roughly 100 times nicer than our old place. {the next day, james left for a week-long trip to research (chase) turtles along the georgia coast. yours truly unpacked.}
to celebrate, james made his famous pancakes this morning (made with yogurt, not milk and soo good).

and i finally got to make cupcakes after craving them all week (thanks for the inspiration, danielle). coconut cupcakes topped with coconut cream cheese frosting.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
2 eggs (use free-range eggs from local source)
1/2 cup milk
