i waited all last week for these guys. and out they came this weekend. also this weekend: summer thunderstorms. more strawberries. ocean breezes. waves for james. this book (my curiosity was piqued). and lots of waiting tables.

    Ooo, that book sounds really interesting. And I love the middle stage of the Dogwood blossom, it almost reminds me of a peony before it fully blooms.

    these guys are actually southern magnolia blossoms and in real life they’re huge;) some of the blossoms are the size of dinner plates, no joke. and the book…is very good, if a bit scary.

    oh i love when flowers first open!! are they magnolias?? we used to have a huge magnolia tree. they smell so good!
