the first chapter: wedding invitations.

August 3, 2009
in october, my very best friend from college will be getting married. i am going to be one of her bridesmaids. the excitement is mounting.

you can only imagine my glee when i opened the invitation in the mail today. i must say, we have received some seriously gorgeous wedding invitations this spring and summer, but the do-it-yourself creativity of beth’s invitations are way too impressive not to share here.

both writers, beth and her soon-to-be husband, chris, have decided upon a literary theme of sorts for their wedding. everything you see here they did themselves–gluing, typing, and cutting included. the result could not be more lovely.stampgorgeous stamps.

these invitations are incredible and so creative! we received an invite yesterday and i remember thinking, "boring and i can't tell anything about who's getting married by this (except i guess i can)." anyway, i love expression through invites, it definitely sets the tone.
