my weekend brought me a run in with my dream car. the signing of a new lease {not for our first choice apartment, but for one that i’m sure will do just fine}. lots of perusing apartment therapy for ideas on how to help the heinous kitchen cabinets in the new apartment. feeling inspired by the miracle work that anne did on her rental kitchen. walks by the river with james. watermelon for dinner. this article about the way we cook. and showing our precious apartment to someone else. i’m not convinced she’ll love it as much as we do. what did your weekend bring you?

love the car…and the room redo…….
my weekend brought us school shopping…. { can you believe it?! two weeks from today my two will be back at school!}….and miniature golf……go cart rides…and fun memories…….
so glad you found an apartment and I know once you move in with the man you love and the things you love to be surrounded with ….you will love it! xo
what an inspiring article.
my weekend brought me wonderful life changing news (i will share soon) and a friend from pa:)
i started reading that article but didn't get to finish it. although i did happen to finish reading julia child's my life in france this weekend – her and her husband were so fascinating! i spent my weekend enjoying a carfree getaway at a b&b.
I love the cupboard re-do idea. It is so gorgeous. It is always difficult to make a space your own and it takes a bit of time but I am sure you both will do fabulous. You have such a great personality. It shows in your blog and I am sure it will pervade your new space ever so quickly.
p.s. I love that car!!xoxo
It's hard to let go of a home you loved so much. my lovely apartment is one of the things i missed the most while i was abroad. i was thankful to be able to come back to it, though. i really hope you find tenants that will appreciate it as much 🙂
My weekend brought me friends in town, a game night, babysitting nephews, a day at the races and then collapsing in bed exhausted from all of the fun.
A late lunch + movie date with my man, 2 new books to read, a bouquet of yellow roses in a vintage glass jar, a brunch with old friends and a mixed berry crisp.
Watermelon for dinner…the best!
My weekend was filled with a lot of cleaning and organizing. It feels so good!
Congrats on the new lease! I lived with my horrible rental kitchen for a year before redoing it (as much as you can justify in a rental)… I'm sure you'll be able to work some real magic on it!
that car is so fine and we're just seeing the back fender and tire! you'll be ok in your new place. you'll erinize it and make it special because that's what you do.
aw, thank you! so happy to know that the hard work i did on the kitchen is inspiring you! congrats on signing a lease—can't wait for all the nitty gritty on how you fix it up!
