five little things that made my week:
1. this jump drive. {because it means that i can work from home and from school and don’t have to worry about saving my work to public computers}.
2. these headphones.{because sometimes i need to listen to ave maria on repeat while writing papers and this habit is not widely appreciated by other people. who knew}?
3. these post-its. {because now i have a neat little place to keep all of my post-it tags. of which i use far too many. but that’s another story}.
4. this tapestry. {because i folded it all up and have been using it as a seat cushion which isn’t quite as good as having a proper chair, but at least is better than nothing}.
5. this apple pear. {because we don’t know if it’s an apple or a pear but it made me smile this week and i can’t wait to taste it}.
p.s. if this week isn’t proof that even the most mundane objects be little sources of happiness, i don’t know what would be. so happy that it’s friday and tonight will be filled with friends and warm drinks.

I reckon it's a pear! It's apple-like shape may be a deception..
What made my week was when I was walking along the street, gave a sad looking, elderly lady a smile, and she gave such a big smile back that it was big contrast to her earlier expression.
Lovely blog <3
it's an asian pear…i'm pretty sure. it will be refreshing and delicious! i like to chill them, peel and eat, usually they are very juicy.
I need a jump drive too! I always feel so disconnected on campus, but I refuse to take my laptop. My week was made by filling tortellini dinners, photoshoots with beautiful friends, and lots of good reading.
I love that you included a jump drive. I have one of those that makes my day everyday. And that tapestry is beautiful.
which version of ave maria do you have on repeat? i totally share your addiction to post-it tags, and my vote is that the fruit is a pear!

bits of technology mixed with the gorgeous apple pear…love it
a sink empty of dishes each night before bed (a team effort) made my week
🙂
I can't help but want to give this mystery fruit a funny name, like maybe pearple.
My first sale made my week. Oh, and the chilly weather (minus the rain).

Jump drive and little tins! I have that too and oh I am happy for them!
a call from g made my weekend!
I found smiles in the smallest things this weekend and am so relating. Your thankfulness for small things always makes me happy.
Our week was made with shopping at the Asian market and coffee with good friends. xoxo
Your post-it tags are such pretty colors, so much better than the basic yellow, and your temporary tapestry cushion is quite sweet.
I really enjoyed visiting Oddfellows Cafe and Bar in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood with Chris (hubby) this past Saturday. I enjoyed a bowl of fruit with honey & mint and a glass of fresh grapefruit juice. It was simple. It was divine. We also had a wonderful visit with my brother Max. We took the bus to Ballard and enjoyed burrata, pizza, and then a shared chocolate chip cookie w/ gray salt, all in the cozy atmosphere inside Delancey. Life is good.
cindy's right, they are called asian pear. we ate them like candy while in Southeast asia. They are so delicious!! i've seen a lot more of them in the US lately they are really expensive, and sometimes not as flavorful, but still so happy, like you, when i bring them home!
I love reading your blog! happy week!
