my week in objects (mostly).

November 20, 2009
five little things that made my week.

1. this view.tree
{because even though this is kind of cheating, this colorful tree made my week this week, too}.

2. these pears.pears
{because they were so buttery and melty and good, if slightly less than photogenic}.

3. this sunny floor.sun
{because it let me spend a morning spreading out, feeling cozy and getting some work done}.

4. these mints.mints
{because on long days, it helps to have a little something to freshen things up}.

6. this guy.james
{because even though i’ve now objectified my boyfriend (don’t worry, i haven’t put his silhouette on the back of my truck window…yet), he totally made my week. so far this week he has baked brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and an apple pie. and he’s dealt with not one, not two, but three grad-school related melt-downs. hero guy}.

what little something made your week?

I like your sunny floor. I think the almond croissant I'm about to go out and eat is going to make my week! Not really…but I bet it will be GOOD. Truthfully, it was a package I received from my aunt that made my week. It was so thoughtful and perfect!

Your sunny floor is beautiful and those pears look delectable. And it sounds like you've got a keeper.

The little something that made my week? Hanging a new picture up in my bathroom. It makes me smile when I'm groggy and grumpy in the morning!

Wonderful things! Love that beautiful floor! Your BF is such a good guy! Things that made my week was a heartfelt chat with a good friend, yummy indian food, and, I must admit, my new iPhone.

    yay for wonderful men! 🙂
taking a field trip with my 7th graders and seeing the excitement of kids who had never seen mountains before as the bus drove towards them (they were little NC mountains) made my week 100% worth it.

I'm jealous of your colorful tree! ours don't quite look like that here 🙂

something that made my week were compliments on my story from my copy editor and then my editor. after a not-so-good week last week, things were much better this week!

I can't believe your BF is a baker! That's pretty amazing. At least this week is nice and short so hopefully it will be meltdown free.
