Thank you for the list, I'm trying to mull through all the press.

Actually a few people from our area (it's a small area) went down on a mission project and arrived the day before the earthquake. Two doctors and some other medical staff. They ended up being the only medical staff in walking distance of a few towns. They've had hundreds of patients who would have not received medical care otherwise.

It boggles the mind, doesn't it?

Great list. It is heartbreaking to see what is going on there.

Thank you so much for posting something. I've been a little disappointed by the lack of interest and mention of the situation in my Reader.

I've also set a pay pal account for a group called Heartline Ministries (heartlineministries.org) that I stayed with last April. They're doing amazing work with the women in Port au Prince and have had some devastating losses.

*thank you* for posting about haiti. i've been so crestfallen that when i post about vintage boots i get twenty-five comments, but my post about haiti? i can count them on one hand.

if you want tonight, stop by my studio blog for some info on one of the amazing hospitals that survived the quake and is treating thousands.

and get this: Text “HAITI” to "90999" to make a $10 donation to American Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.

cheers, and yo, you're a rock star.

Oh my, this morning as I was praying for them my heart just broke. I could not stop sobbing for the pain they must be feeling.

Nice work, here, sweetie, and there's a great essay by Tracy Kidder in the NYTimes, with a vote of confidence for Partners in Health (he's on the Board). Others seem to share his opinion that this is a great organization to support, if you're trying to choose one: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/14/opinion/14kidder.html?scp=1&sq=Kidder&st=cse
