this might be my first cruel post on this little blog. i’m not sure that i’ve mentioned this here before, but my james is allergic to potatoes. yes. you read that correctly. no hash browns. no french fries. no roasted reds with the skin still on. no gratin. and usually no fried food since those sneaky little fries end up in just about everything. but how on earth is a girl to get through the summer without a basket full of fried onion rings and a scallop roll with tartar sauce? james, if you are reading, and i know you are, i’m sorry that i ate these potato-laced rings in front of you. let’s make emily’s onion rings at home, and call it even, k?
what’s your favorite fried little something?
wow, allergic to potatoes i can't even imagine! does that include sweet potatoes? because sweet potato fries are one of my favorite things ever.
now i don't think i can get through the day without onion rings…
mozzarella sticks = heaven!
no fries! that is a torture
ouch…poor him! onion rings are my temptation…so thanks for the wonderful looking recipe! xo
If I was allergic to potatoes I think I might just give up. But my favorite fried something is zucchini.
It all looks so good. I'd cave too…
Looks so good! French Fries!!!!
YUM! I love fried goodness.
oh bless him!
I might be a little thinner if I didn't like potatoes so much! I eat them in any form….and a good fried onion ring is hard to pass up….:)
That is a tragedy. Poor, James!
My favorite fried bit of heaven = a basket of fried pickles and pickled jalapenos with a side of ranch from an amazing bbq place in my sweet hometown, ATL.
That is utterly depressing. I would cry myself to sleep for a long time if I ever found out I was allergic to potatoes.
I don't know what is worse, not being able to eat gluten or not being able to eat potatoes. I think not being able to eat potatoes is worse! If I could eat something fried again I would go for chicken or jalepeno poppers lol.
dear heavens! potato is my middle name (in addition to peanut butter).
I'll eat most things fried. I'm really not picky.
