five little things that made my week.
1. this cowl.
{because it’s finished. i tried to take a photo of myself wearing it. no dice}.
2. this hot sauce.
{because these recent posts from rachel and jena made me realize we needed to spice things up a bit. purchased on wednesday, and already been served with three meals}.
3. these new hems.
{because sometimes fixing what you have is all it takes to feel better. also: not really an object, but i did a major closet purge this week. best therapy ever. go wild}.
4. these carrots.
{because they’re all cut up and ready for our whirlwind adventure to the north country this weekend. more on snacks and road trips, here}.
5. these sweet chips.
{because sometimes a girl needs something sweet to help her along. these also helped}.
so, what little something made your week?
ps. we’re off to toronto for my cousin’s wedding this weekend. hoping to have some happy celebration shots to share on my return!
p.ps. there’s been a lot of buzz around the internet over the past few days about properly crediting image sources. i use mostly my own images on my blog, but when i first started blogging, i used a lot of stuff from different sources. giving proper credit to photographers for their original content is always important, but deciding how it should be done can seem tricky when you’re starting out. i know i was often confused, and am sure i flubbed a few times! design*sponge and {frolic!} have recently written posts that serve as great resources for knowing how to give bloggers and photographers their propers. if you’re feeling fuzzy about the protocol–check out those links. and have your eyes peeled for other posts from bloggers on the subject!

Yay! I hope Toronto is nice to you! It's been so cold this week!
Love your objects, as always! Have a great trip.
Have a lovely celebratory weekend!
My favorite flannel bottoms made my week, I found myself wearing them many times. š
This week's discussion on the use of online photo usage has been a good one. Thanks for mentioning it here. Have fun in Toronto! If you have time, you have to get to the restaurant Fresh. You won't be sorry!
Your cowl looks fabulous. My week? My vase of orange and yellow poppies have been pleasing me.
My heart leaped for joy when I saw your Friday Objects post in my reader list…I know it is silly, but your photos represent the ability to celebrate the small things in life…an ideal I hold dear. Keep on!
The carrot stick photo is beautiful isn't it!
Great job on the cowl – it looks awesome! White daisies made my week, along with serious kitty snuggling, a wonderful dinner date with a good friend last night and the fact that it's 53 outside in Chicago in March!
Have a great weekend!
That's funny, carrots have made my week a lot better too! As well as egg white veggie omelette's (watching what I eat-can't you tell?) I've awarded you with a Stylish Blogger Award today on my site, Congrats! I would love it if you would participate, I'd love to learn 7 random facts about you. Have a wonderful weekend and safe trip!
have fun in toronto! i was almost headed there myself this weekend (we're about an hour south) but sadly had to cancel plans. enjoy the wedding!
Love the packaging of that hot sauce, really cool!

Great shots, sweetie! I love the idea of a spring purge right now–very theraputic indeed!
love the cowl (and everything else!). wishing i had more time for knitting.
I love it the most when people post their own photos – great to link to photos or blog posts that inspire, but the blogs I always come back to over and over are the ones that are always showing me the things that the person posting sees so uniquely herself.
Yes, I too have heard a lot of buzz on twitter…I also get that when people are starting out it can be confusing. They spoke a lot about this at Alt Summit too…I'll have to go see what they wrote about! Hope you're having a great day!
yay I love closet purges
Must. Learn. To. Knit.
Also, this reminds me that I used up the very last of our hot sauce last week and have yet to restock. It has made my breakfasts a little sad.
I need that hotsauce in my life. F'reals.
