flowers, slate fireplace flowering quince, slate more flowers, slate

just got back from a few days away, spent trying to prepare for a pretty exciting change. more on that when everything’s firmed up. for now, a few outtakes from flower arrangements i made for the listen closely project. flowering quince is so beautiful it makes me nearly weep. you?

    Oh, what are those little gold-colored flowers? My grandmother had a bush of those when I was a child and she called them Rose of Sharon, but I don't think anyone else calls it that. Do you know?

    beautiful, I have been totally geeking out in spring flower land. Last week it was lilies of the valley and buttercups, the week before dogwoods and now irises. Love it
