yesterday, i caved and bought flowers from the flower shop. i told myself that this summer i would only bring home flowers from farm stands. but yesterday was so hot and the apartment was so dark midday that it needing some cheering.
i repeated the name of the flower the whole way home so i could share it with you. but this morning, somehow, it escapes me entirely. so here they are, white flowers, without a name.

lisianthus š
I bought the same for my hall.
It makes such a difference seeing flowers the moment you come into the home.
I love lisianthus! they're a little unruly – that's my favourite part!
I love them too–I've seen them in a glorious shade of soft pink. Your white is cool and lovely and they have a bit of the look of wildflowers.
yes, lovely–these were in katie l's wedding centerpieces, and two weeks and half weeks later, i still have some unfolding–even the closed buds are pretty and poignant
my mother is a florist and I always ask her the name of the flowers, why are they so hard to remember? I'm glad your fans commented or I was going to give her a call for my own peace of mind š
Lovely photos, pretty flowers with dark wood and those scissors, I love those scissors!
Cheers~~Ivy
Just remember Lizzie! Lizzie-anthus. Helps, right?
I had lizzies in my wedding bouquet (along with scabiosa, peonies, scented geranium, lavender, bachelor's buttons, old-fashioned english roses, larkspur and queen anne's lace). I get all full of happy sighs just looking at them in your photos. Enjoy! xo
I could use some fresh flowers right about now! Our apartment is all packed up and now we've got nowhere to go – I need some uplifting!
so pretty these nameless beauties!
i love your moody and romantic flower pictures! these are absolutely gorgeous
They look so beautiful against that dark wood. So much light!
If you caved, so shall I … I'm going to the florist immediately xo
Either way they're pretty. I love flowers, I should get some more.

SO lovely. & it's so funny that you repeated the name and then forgot it. I do that all the time!!
