my week in objects (mostly).

April 20, 2012

five little things that made my week.

1. this boardwalk.
boardwalk {because starting things off with a morning on the beach is never a bad thing}.

2. this neighbor’s window box.
ranunculus {because even though i usually like my window boxes a little scrappier, this one is just too elegant not to be noticed}.

3. this toilet brush.
toilet brush holder {because i found it at ikea. and while it’s not nearly as high quality as the hard goods found in this shop, it’s simple and clean. i won’t tell you what i was managing with before}.

4. this park.
bridge {because i plan on spending at least two nights a week in it this summer. and this week, it popped}.

5. this message.
love me {because i never have my camera with me when i walk by, and this week i did}.

what little something made your week?

other things:
we’re really thankful for all your votes. keep ’em coming!
this talented lady is photographing our wedding in august. pumped.
i’d like to own a few of these frocks. you?

I also had a favorite spray paint message that I always saw, and never had my camera. Finally the other day I loaded up a roll of film and walked down there, with the specific intention of shooting it … and it was gone!

the ironic thing is, the graffiti (that I loved and had been painted over) read : "nothing lasts forever."

A cherry blossom tree in my neighbors yard has just erupted with these fabulous blooms for Spring – it made me smile all week whether a I was on my to or from work.

HI! I know this post is super old and of course I also know it might be unreasonable that you respond to all the comments you receive. But Ikea still sells that toilet brush and I'm considering it… but is the container / handle plastic or metal? Just curious, their website is not very clear. We just moved and I'm trying so hard to abide by your "only buy beautiful cleaning tools" rule, it's a good one. Thanks šŸ™‚

Hi! The handle and container are both metal (the container has a plastic sleeve on the inside that you can remove/wash!)
