my week in objects (mostly).

January 4, 2013

1. these paperwhite leaves.
paperwhites {because they shot right up while we were away and soon: flowers!}.

2. this chocolate.
dandelion chocolate {because san francisco cousins bring the best christmas loot}.

3. this tiny cord.
tiny cord {because sometimes a girl needs to listen to gregorian chants on spotify all day long, and sometimes she needs it to come through her radio speakers}.

4. this verbena candle.
candle {because moms know best}.

5. this coffee foam.
coffee9398 {because our stove-top steamer must have been lonely while we were away}.

other things:
this sweet blog.
i finally read this. and liked it.
hmm.
a year in flowers.
dream shoes.

We grew paperwhites in our window when we lived in our 388-sq-foot condo on Capitol Hill. I loved them.

Hmm…is right. Very interesting. Who knows what is in store for us. Sometimes I think about how fast the past 10 years have gone. But then think about ALL that has gone on during those years, and then think, WOW!

Oh yum, that candle looks absolutely amazing. I may be slightly obsessed with candles though! Personally, I think you can never have to many.

First, your beautiful chocolate bar reminds me that I need to get myself down to Dandelion on Valencia soon. Second, I admire your plug-in technology. I'm still popping cassette tapes to listen to my Gregorian chants (while doing my calligraphy).

Lovely place you've got here. Happy New Year!

Beautiful, every little love you share with us. And I so adore those bulbs in the winter. They send out hope, somehow, that spring will return, really, some day šŸ™‚

    Have a great weekend! xx

Do you like your stove-top steamer? We have been contemplating one but aren't sure how much we'd use it, etc.

I read The Art of Fielding while I was on Christmas vacation and loved it! I read it so quickly, I practically drank it down, and wanted more!

The first picture in particular makes me want to get a plant for my apartment. I always walk by florists' shops and feel tempted to buy a vase and a bouquet of flowers or a small plant, because then it would brighten up my studio apartment a little bit.
