my week in objects (mostly).

March 1, 2013

1. this bouquet.baby3102 {because every time i came back to my apartment this week, it smelled heavenly}.

2. this light bulb.
bulb3861 {because we really needed a new one, and we just happened to sit down in a café across from a lighting store. one minute to closing and it was ours}.

3. this chocolate.
chocolate3883 {because i was desperate for something sweet and i found this stashed in the cabinet}.

4. this shampoo and conditioner.
shampoo3869 {because the ugly labels peeled right off}.

5. this folder of miscellany.
paperthings3865 {because it was another organization project conquered this week. post-its and stamps and checks, all in one spot}.

other things.
a new month calls for a little something new, no?
this gives perspective in more than one way.
this is haunting. especially considering the plastics above.
this looks incredible.
watching this over the weekend.
wishing for a weekend away. this in tow.

    Those apartments… a bit scary.
While watching Midway I was thinking… this shouldn't be so shocking, knowing what we as humans do, but wow, powerful.

Is it the time of year that makes one so desperate for something sweet? I've been too, and I'm usually not! That chocolate looks oh so good to me right now.

What shampoo and conditioner is that? If you don't mind me asking.

I love peeling ugly labels off bottles. So much nicer. I use reusable for shampoo and conditioner, but there are still the pesky bottles of contact solution, among other things.

Good that you posted the Midway trailer. I am glad that there are people reminding us what our consumerism does to the world. BTW I watched another documentary a few weeks ago that was revealing, too. It is named Plastic World and made by an Austrian who wanted to know more on the effects of plastic. It is filmed in German but maybe you can find it undertitled.
