Another heatwave, another weekend in Connecticut. I haven’t taken as much advantage of slipping away for the weekend since I was in college and homesick. But when you sleep in a tiny loft without air conditioning, the sea breeze is like a siren call. This weekend there was the beach and cousins. And parents who, overnight, became doting grandparents. Some kids have all the luck. Dinner on the back porch, dinner at the beach, dinner on our laps after an epic game of keep-the-ball-up in the pool. This is the stuff dreams and summertime are made of.
looks like a fabulous weekend xo
i escaped the nyc heatwave this weekend, too, and you are not kidding—the seaside is the way to go!
Gorgeous photos. I love those teeny roses.
Nothing like responding to the siren call. 🙂 Lovely to find your blog
Ugh, this looks absolutely wonderful! I've been stuck in the city all summer (Sunday's day trip to the Rockaways absolutely does not count).
