silver and green: the oregon coast.

When the sun’s not shining golden, the sky glows silver instead, offering the senses a whole different brand of magic.

We’re back in Brooklyn now, missing the crash of the waves and the heavy sureness of the salt air, but trying our best to institute the habits we relearned on our vacation into our life here: more breakfast, less coffee; more books, less time in front of a screen; more moving, less standing still.

More about our west coast adventure, soon.

Beautiful! Great pictures. We just spent some time in the Canadian Maritimes and Boston. Very foggy and green up there too. Check out pictures on my blog if you're interested! -Alexandra http://www.simplyalexandramyfavoritethings.blogspot.com

Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! I have a sister who lives in Oregon and I totally agree, it's not the sunny, California beach but instead, a misty, woodland dreamland!
Coming from the desert I was totally in awe that EVERYTHING is so green!

It has been so nice here on the Oregon Coast- hopefully you got some sun too! I can't tell what part you went to and I felt like I knew the coast like the back of my hand!

Such beautiful photographs. Some of them look so familiar I swear it's a beach I know so well, yet I know you were further north. There is no place like Oregon.

When people complain about rain here, I tell them – "but rain is the reason Oregon is so lush and beautifully green." They always have to agree!
