It was a balmy 50 degrees and drizzling on Saturday. The kind of day when New York City masquerades as the Pacific Northwest and lower Manhattan puts on a show of fog and clouds to mesmerize anyone brave enough to be out in the elements. James and I decided to go on a little seafaring adventure to shake off the week and take advantage of the warmer—if not exactly beautiful—weather.
Where I tend to get melancholy on dreary days, James revels in them. So I took a tip from his unrelenting cheer, zipped up my rainy weather gear and trundled down to the river and aboard the East River Ferry for a jaunt up to Williamsburg.
PS. The coat I’m wearing in these photos was a gift from Reading My Tea Leaves sponsor, Bridge & Burn. Made of navy blue waxed canvas and fully lined in chambray, the Waxed Warbler was the perfect thing for adventuring on a mild winter day. Many thanks for supporting the RMTL sponsors who keep this little space ticking.
