This past weekend we stopped by the apple orchard near my hometown to say hello to a friendly pack of llamas before catching the train back to Brooklyn. My mom tucked donuts and a mini bottle of apple cider into our bags and off we went, leaving apple picking undone but very much on the brain. Magazine-style apple picking scenes often include leather boots and bright blue denim with a heavy dose of plaid mixed among the bucolic orchards. I’m all for picturesque apple picking, but when it comes down to it, I’d be more inclined to pull on a cozy sweatshirt and favorite pair of jeans to pick myself a bushel.
Here’s what I’d have liked to wear if we’d had an extra hour to spend tree-side.
1. Just in case any of you are afraid I’m utterly color-shy, here’s a bright red sweatshirt I’ve got my eye on. 2. Sand-colored jeans to prove I haven’t strayed too far from my palette. 3. White chucks for getting grass-stained 4. Colorful socks to keep things interesting. 5. The perfect apple-picking string tote for filling 6. And a trusty apple picker for hard-to-reach branches.
Other things:
New York Cider Week.

Hi Erin! I love your product round-ups, but I would enjoy them more if you made a note of which links are affiliate links? Maybe with an asterisk? I am not a blogger, but I do believe it is required: http://www.copyblogger.com/affiliate-marketing-disclosure-now-required-by-law/
I'm all for supporting bloggers and the content they bring us, but I'd like there to be more transparency in this. I especially dislike the RewardStyle links, since I have no idea where the product is coming from unless I click the link, which means several open tabs. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback, Christina! Will keep it in mind! (PS. For now you can tell which links are RewardStyle by hovering on them and seeing the rstyle url in your status bar! That way if you prefer not to open the tab you can avoid it!) Thanks so much for reading! E.
That sweatshirt is so cute!!!
You put together some great picks! Really love those sneaks and sweatshirt!

I love the red sweatshirt. What a great pop of color without being too out there.
The string tote is super cute too, and would be a great beach bag.

Those socks with that sweatshirt = the embodiment of Fall. Love the string tote, too!
