my week in objects (mostly).

June 26, 2015

five little things that made my week.

1. this coaster.
glass {because my drinks have been even sweatier than me this week.}

2. these new fans.
fan {because we needed more air up here.}

3. this white blanket.
blanket {because it’s so much cooler to sit on cotton in the summertime than wool.}

4. this page.
list {because it was one of those weeks that really required keeping tabs in the pen-and-paper way.}

5. this little sprig of oregano.
oregano {for making sure i didn’t drown in a sea of beige.}

other things:
batkid begins.
ricotta.
camping without a car, near NYC.
a frame for life.
generational divides.
my favorite sweatshirt.
get me to here.
finally got a new case. wish it was this one.
iced green tea.
good ridding.
getting closer and closer to getting (back) on board.
the stuff renovation dreams (and nightmares) are made of.
coconut + elderflower.

    Lovely as always! May I ask where you found your cotton blanket? I'm on the hunt for something similar for in-between weather.

      I got this at Brook Farm General Store, but it looks like it's no longer in stock! If memory serves me Fog Linen has a similar swedish cotton blanket!

    Oh I love a light blanket in the summer; I don't know, for some reason a cold breeze and a blanket feels cozier than just the right temperature and still air.

    Yes, we need to cool it down. It is 95+degrees plus 50% humidity in the ATL. Too hot for coffee – need iced coffee!

    Oh, man. I am keeping pen-and-paper tabs this week, for sure. Too many things to fall through the slots, if left unattended! And that oregano sprig! It is so supremely cute! I just dried off all of my oregano harvest, and I'm just waiting for it to start up again. …and is that a Micron pen? What is your favorite writing utensil?
