five little things that made my week.
1. this new photo collection.
{because i already posted it to instagram, but i thought you guys might need a closeup. don’t even mind the dried up dogwood flowers.}
2. this bare floor.
{because this might be the most boring photo i’ve ever posted. and i don’t care. bare. floor.
3. this roll of wallpaper.
{because i’m finally tackling a project that’s ten years in the making. season o’ projects.}
4. these daffs from my mom.
{same story every spring. not worried about it.}
5. this little blue truck.
{because every little girl needs a truck of her own.}
other things:
a different route to natural periods.
straight squealing about these guys.
yay or nay? just kidding. YAY.
show up with your heart in your hand.
me in other places:
chatting it up with the wild women over at that’s so retrograde.

I laughed out loud at the photo of the bare floor. Go Erin!! Sometimes life is all about appreciating those ordinary, boring things. Like a bare.floor.
Also, daffodils are some of my favorite flowers! They perfume rooms with such a lovely spring fragrance.
ha! thank you! this bunch was making my eyes water like crazy, but they’re just as pretty on the outdoor ledge, thank goodness!
What beautiful photos and wow such bright and lovely flowers! !=)
Have a great weekend!
Bare floors, eh? Nothing like these ones! http://www.musee-orsay.fr/en/collections/works-in-focus/painting.html?no_cache=1&zoom=1&tx_damzoom_pi1%5BshowUid%5D=3998
those maple eggs!
I love these posts.
I was recently hanging up some snapshots on my wall and ended up taping my husband’s boutonniere from our wedding with just a piece of washi tape. I thought it would look cheap and ugly but I actually really love the look of it. Just like your dogwood.
Also, those maple poached eggs… sound delicious! I was on the fence a little bit but I’d love to try them.
The cropped jeans had me cracking up. Seriously! Worst. Look. Ever. I’m still trying to wrap my head around people wearing mom jeans again. Sigh…I must be getting old 🙂
I seriously love all these photos. Being able to find beauty in what other’s may call mundane is so beneficial. Like you always say, simple matters! 😉
Yes! As a girl who loves / has a truck (high five emoji)!
Maple poached eggs? Yes pls!
I LOVE that’s so retrograde. I’m so excited to listen 😀 😀 😀
“Then into the mud bump bump bump came the Little Blue Truck to help the Dump” was what I immediately thought of when I saw that picture. Must have read that line a thousand times this week! Have a great weekend!
I had no idea all flowers sold weren’t domestic! Learn something new every day
<3 everything about this post. esp the blue truck!
This has nothing to do with any of the lovely things in this post, but after quitting my job at a big cosmetics company, I’m in the process of switching over to organic skincare, and I’m on the hunt for a good eye creme. I did a search but don’t see you talking about this anywhere, so curious if you use eye cream and if so what brand? Thanks!
Yes, every girl needs a truck of her own and that one is just so cute!
