my week in objects (mostly).

December 22, 2017

five little things that made my week.

1. these candles.

{started by me, finished by faye.}

2. these last few books.

{best countdown ever.}

3. these gingerbread women.

{ready for frosting.}

5. this reindeer.

{waiting for an elfin repair job on the antlers. sure to be wonky. sure to be loved anyway.}

5. these monogrammed stockings.

{but especially thankful for the gentle reminder from kind folks that a stocking needn’t spell the *whole* name.}

As I always do, I’ll be taking a little break from this space to spend time with my family for the next week or so. Ever thankful for your kindness and community. May the next weekโ€”and the next yearโ€”be filled with all of the very best stuff.

    Merry Christmas, Erin! I hope you have a lovely time with your family and I wish you safe travels ๐Ÿ™‚

    Would you consider doing some food/recipe related posts next year? I’ve always loved your recipes and ideas for cooking, and I also have no idea what to do with tofu, haha. Plus you seem very organized and it would be cool to see how your family handles dinners. Some people make endless variations of the same meal, others work from a schedule, but it’s always nice to see the options. Plus your photography is lovely and a food post is sure to include some ๐Ÿ™‚

    Merry Christmas to you! And Happy New Year & all that. I’ve really been enjoying your blog lately, and the pace. The writing is so good; the tone, just that. I am loving the simplicity & real humility of it all. Okay I’m going to say, I even got to like more than Cup of Jo! I know I know. It’s not a competition, I’m just… sayin’. Xoxo

    Happy Holidays and Happy ’18.

    You make a huge difference in the world and a huge difference for me. I especially noticed my need for less this Christmas and I’m currently writing and dreaming and planning my goals and steps to get me there.

    Keep being you, Erin. And, I’m so looking forward to reading your words and insights for the next 365. ๐Ÿ™‚
