    We get our oats from Maine Grains. First time I tried ’em, I thought I’d never tasted good oats until that day.

      Probably depends what you’re thinking of baking, but I’d be in touch with those guys directly if you don’t hear from anyone who’s had the chance to give them a try!

    Appreciate the article on plastic. It does have its value especially when feeding the hungry. I also appreciate it’s value in disease prevention in the medical community because things are no longer reused that could be contaminated. At the same time, limiting wasteful plastic in my own life is a high priority.

    LOVE Maine Grains! We eat their oats at home for breakfast and I use them in my cleansing grains at the studio…they’re the best I’ve ever encountered!

    “The world is changed, dear heart” article is wonderful. Beautifully timed. A loved one of mine was just diagnosed with cancer and I think this helps me gain more insight into what she might be thinking in this next season. Thanks for posting.

    I particularly loved reading “what to say…” Brought tears to my eyes. I understand this situation so well in my own way, and have noticed I take so much interest in writings by people who are going through grief, and what words work to support them and what does not. She said it so clearly.
    Also, sending “no mom guilt” to my sister, right away! x

    Been thinking plastic a lot lately (have you seen Blue Planet II yet? Incredible and moving). The plastic article was fantastic, and helped pull some pieces together (farmers markets, etc). Thank you!

    I know this is a little late but I really love that Smitten Kitchen farro dish. A friend made it for me right after my son was born in September, and then I made it again for a Thanksgiving potluck, so now it has all the good newborn baby + holiday vibes for me. I was happy to see you’ve been enjoying it too!

      Yay! So good! A friend brought it to my sister who just had a new baby and she shared the recipe with me!
