Weapons in the free market in the 21st century is a terrible and unacceptable.
But masculinity is a means to have responsibility, not power, I think.

Along with many other Americans of every color, my heart is breaking today for the crumbling of a culture held hostage by the NRA, which wants to protect a falsified right to carry. I wonder, would Mr. Trump consider giving us all a little bit of a bonus for the weight of carrying a broken heart?

Hi Erin! Thanks for the link to the Black Voices article. I’m going to be attending the Million Hoodies March in Brownsville on Monday night if you’d like to attend. I’ll be with Moms Demand Action and some other GVP coalition groups. This is Kathleen, btw, the woman who bought your old rug last year.

Hi Kathleen! Thanks so much for your note. I’m not sure I’ll be able to come on Monday, but thanks for inviting me! Will be in touch if I’m able to make it!

Thank you for who gets to be a victim. Gun violence in America could be tackled as one issue, if we could bother to see it that way. But instead we have school shootings, and all other gun violence. I’m not trying to diminish the insidious racism that is behind police violence and the lack of support for black activists, just pointing out that there is a common denominator here. Guns. I’m all for banning military style weapons from civilian hands (by all means, let’s start there, now), but what about hand guns? Overwhelmingly the weapon of choice for the majority of homicides, and suicides, in our country. We need comprehensive gun control now. We need to acknowledge the toll the NRA, gun manufacturers and conservative politicians have taken on black lives.
