my week in objects (mostly).

September 28, 2018

five little things that made my week.

1. these chocolate chip cookies.

{and feeling well enough to eat them.}

2. these clean sheets.

{sometimes you just really need a mid-week sheet change.}

3. this ginger.

{for helping to settle my stomach.}

4. these dahlias.

{for bringing a tiny bit of good cheer.}

5. these socks.

{three colors. one size. one already gone missing, but i’m holding out hope.}

other things:

elect women.

(also.)

<trigger warning>

how can you be speechless?

people are listening.

we still have not learned our mistakes.

not even a hint of composure.

honor.

</trigger warning>

take good care.

    All great takes on a truly infuriating situation. Thanks for sharing, Erin. I just placed my order for an “Honor” print!

    I’m so glad you are feeling better — not an easy feat after a week that has left most of us totally heartsick. Here’s a small gift to round out your cookie department — buckwheat chocolate chip cookies from David Lebovitz. Given the coco nibs involved, I’d say that they may be considered “adult” cookies, but you can decide: https://www.davidlebovitz.com/buckwheat-chocolate-chip-cookies-cookie-recipe-lappart-david-lebovitz/

    Hi! I wondered what your apartment tip is for laundry. Do you use a laundromat or laundry service? How do you deal with things that can’t be dried (most of my clothes)!

    Glad you are feeling better. The news cycle has been shaking. Lots of self care this week.
