    It’s a nice idea that a woman president would necessarily do the right things, but experience here in the UK has twice proven otherwise, unfortunately. In a leader, ideology and policy mean a whole lot more than any simple identifier.

      yes, of course. in this case, faith ringgold is referencing the particular women candidates in the us and i thought it such a poignant sentiment from an 88-year-old reflecting on what she hopes for in the future.
