For someone who doesn’t like a lot of clutter but who does have a soft spot for a bit of ephemera, a scrapbook can be a match made in heaven. It’s an opportunity to gather memories and images and the little bits and pieces that fit together to tell a story all in one, organized spot. For anyone wanting to join the fun, and especially for those who might want a bit of a helping hand to guide them along, Artifact Uprising‘s brand-new Scrapbook Album is a thing to consider and I’ve recently gotten the chance to see how it works myself.

In classic Artifact Uprising style, the album design is beautiful. You can choose from five beautiful cover color combinations, made from premium linen and foil-stamped text. The interior pages are simply designed with open-ended prompts and printed on high-quality paper, including one made from recycled coffee cups.

The book itself is bound in a binder style, making it easy to add to (or take away from). Pages include large and small envelopes for the safekeeping of bits of ephemera like a photo strip, or a ferry ticket, a pressed leaf, or a child’s sketch. In the best way, these pages remind me of the beloved book of my childhood, The Jolly Postman, where little treasures and sweet notes can be tucked away to be found and enjoyed in a quiet moment. A page of petite tear-off notecards in the back of the album even allows family and friends to contribute their own notes and memories to slip into perfectly sized envelopes inside the book.

And for all of these opportunities at customization, the nicest feature of all in an exceedingly busy time of year, is that the scrapbook is an off-the-shelf project that doesn’t need to be completed in the rush leading up to the holidays. If you don’t have time to personalize or design a book of your own ahead of time, you can give the gift of supplies instead. Each purchase of a Scrapbook comes with a credit to receive 10 Artifact Uprising prints as well as a pen, picture corners, and adhesive to help with adding personal touches.

this is beautiful! i have so many ambitions to scrapbook but in reality i have a bunch of little piles and boxes waiting to actualize. Somday! Love that it’s acadia themed – I got engaged there this Sept and finally got up the courage to share our story here: https://tps-steph.blogspot.com/2019/11/0050-on-love.html it’s not traditional and it’s personal and scary to put it out there but as someone from a broken home i felt it was valuable to share

Artifact Uprising is one of those companies that can do no wrong (in my opinion). I love everything they do! I do an annual book through them but am always left scratching my head about what to do with the bits of ephemera (ticket stubs, etc.) accumulated throughout the year. They seemed to have solved the problem with the little pockets. Thanks for sharing! As always, such a beautiful post.

I love this! But I’m always so hesitant to do things like this because my handwriting is so.awful. when I’m doing something on nice notecards or in journals. When I’m just freestyling, my penmanship is actually quite nice. SO MUCH PRESSURE (not really, obviously, and I know that my daughter would love to have something in my own handwriting someday).

Ha! I know it! Same reason I hate signing copies of my books or inscribing just about anything: so much pressure! But also…so much fun!

How gorgeous! I’ve got shoe boxes full of papers, odds and ends from all my travels that I really need to do this with and cut down on the clutter.

I love scrapbooking, I have one for my souvenir tickets and bits and bobs, and another which is essentially just a photo album – I feel like its so important to keep physical memories, looking through photos on your phone just doesn’t spark the same feeling.
