my week in objects (mostly).

1. this bandana.

{for tying back too-long bangs, etc.}

2. these zinnias.

{for being the last hangers-on.}

3. this old helmet.

{and dusting it off.}

4. this “office.”

{for being a tiny spot of her own.}

5. this reconstructive surgery.

{and stumbling, quite literally, upon it.}

other things:

while they giggle and shush each other trying not to get caught, i hold my own breath.

my gut poses a problem for me.

childcare keeps america working. see also!

wearing masks in a heatwave.

this is not new and that is the problem.

stella.

i believed this was a country where you could find justice.

good times, great oldies.

it’s the looking back that threatens to skin a woman alive.

    With postpartum hair loss that bandana looks great. How do you get it to stay on your head when you tie it? I feel like silk always slips off for me. Any ideas would be much appreciated!
