{that maybe wasn’t an accident at all.}

{and the memory of my wishful thinking i might actually make a basket sometime soon.}

5. this drawing.

      Curious about BAM. Looks awesome but what’s the age range. How do the kiddos like moving so quickly from story to story?

    When the world news (and the US news in particular) leaves me weary, but I don’t want to turn away, I turn to your blog. I am constantly grateful for the uplifting hand-offered forward that you give. It matters. There’s a cloud over our little farmhouse here in the western appalachian mountains. It can be hard to be: southern, queer, & female with a mighty heart for justice in a rural farming community. It can be hard to strive forward and watch your neighbors vote for people who do them more harm but that old seductive friend: the feeling of superiority that is growing resentful towards “the other” some, well not good, but strength. When the compassionate majority is gerrymandered, antiquatedly unimportant due to the electoral college, and voter suppressed, it can feel lonely. It isolates like intended. It creates rifts in family and sad tired hearts. And I come here. I find something that can lift me up and also propel me forward. I know what you do takes a lot of energy, effort, and I’m sure some gnashing of teeth and I just wanted to thank you. And ask you to carry on.
