1. this chair.

{and fixing it.}

2. this stack.

{and offering it.}

3. this bubbly water.

{and our first delivery of a brooklyn delicacy.}

4. these hearts.

{and stringing them up.}

5. this charger repair.

{and a cable no longer coming apart at the seams.}

i miss my bar.

it’s not a prescription, but an offering.

    I’m not much of a drinker, but in covid times I’ve been strangely longing for a dive bar. That link really made my afternoon. Thanks 🙂

    I have Sugrued my Macbook cable in exactly the same way (that is, the replacement 2nd hand one I had to buy after my electrical tape repair of the first one eventually failed). Such a design fault! And also such a satisfying solution.

    That New Yorker essay is the best I’ve read on the city in a long while. Full of depth and beauty.

    Apologies if you’ve read it or mentioned it, but there’s a great long article in the New York Times Magazine about Silvia Federici and her theories about unpaid labor largely done by women. As a SAHM, it really resonated with me and reminded me of the ideas you share.

    Street ambience from imissmybar while reading the NewYorker essay. Truly, a highlight of this snowy pandemic Sunday.

    Oh my goodness, I Miss My Bar made me surprisingly happy (and otherwise emotional) as I listened to it. And I scarcely go to bars in normal times!

    I would love instructions on how you fixed—replaced webbing—on your chair. Looks great!

      Will do! Giving it a bit to see how it wears!
