my week in objects (mostly).

February 26, 2021

1. we’re in a ring moment.

{and these have been very sweet for tiny fingers.}

2. this favorite bag from a favorite friend.

{for somehow matching everything.}

3. this “vintage” tea set.

{and being served copious sips of water.}

4. this bread in progress.

{and not having anything to do with it.}

5. this dress-up situation.

{sometimes we just need to be fancy.}

other things:

be happy!!!

love always takes courage.

plague of know-nothings.

a societal failure that demands redress.

pay people.

two-hour “walk and talks” in the freezing cold.

we are taught to endure silently—but we can’t do that any longer.”

    That tea set must be from Alaska! I would know that pattern anywhere. Very cute.

    Whenever I peruse Thred Up for t-shirts for my daughter I become enraged at the messenging emblazened across them. “Smile” “Be Happy” and similar be positive slogans where the boys section has nothing of the sort. It’s so frustrating!

    The “know-nothing” article was just so devastating. So many years of this sort of behavior. We have such a long way to go. I fear I won’t live to see the end of it. I hope my granddaughters are spared, but I’m not particularly hopeful.
