and then sometimes, you stumble upon a very nearly perfect road-trip eating option. when cait and curt made their trip from austin to brooklyn last month, they found just this sort of place. the little building cafe in starksville, mississippi is not only adorable, but is also serving up all sorts of locally sourced goodness. cait was able to enjoy a freshly made blueberry muffin, and curt, who has made a pledge to eat only meat from happy animals, was thrilled when the chef made him a locally-made sausage biscuit. cait snapped a few photos of their surprise find on her phone, and shared them with me. hoping we happen upon a place like this one–doesn’t it look delightful?

Yes, very delightful … and I could spend my days just going from one independently owned adorable cafe to the next.
