five little things that made my week.
1. these crayons.
{and the two minutes wherein they were not being chomped like the carrots they aren’t.}
2. this pumpkin ready for roasting.
{because a seasonal-display-turned-useful sounds about right to me.}
3. this pumpkin bread.
{because: useful.}
4. this bunny.
{because it made its way from grammy’s house and faye is newly enamored.}
5. this new sleeping arrangement.
{because we moved our bed out of our bedroom last night. #lifeinatinyapartment.}
other things:
one-stop capsule shoppping. (and this week only: international shipping).
this giant(!) yarn.
one block.
it’s a thing. and now there’s a solution for women who need it.
how to talk to kids about terrorism.
doctor’s order.
in case your spice selection‘s looking too small.

Peanut butter on pumpkin bread is my favorite! Congratulations on the bed move, I think that will be an nice adjustment for, at the very least, the winter. Those spices are so pretty!
We’re kind of pumped, even if suddenly it feels like we’re living in a studio again! (So pretty! And so, so delicious. My friend Claire blends them!)
I think we have those same crayons – and the same problem! They’re so soft and must just be irresistible to chew on (if you’re into chewing crayons). I wound up succumbing to a box of (much less tempting) crayolas for now until the chewing and picking apart of beeswax crayons is less appealing to Joon.
Ha! She’s also nibbled the tops of every single one of our colored pencils! Thinking we might just have to wait a little bit!
In our last not-so-tiny apartment we moved the bed out of the bedroom when we were trying to get our baby to sleep better. It wasn’t the ideal set up, but it was really nice to have a separate place to sleep.
I’m weirdly excited about seeing how you’ve worked your bed out of the living room 😉
Also, loved the piece about talking to your kids about terrorism. It reiterates this, I feel. http://www.swisslark.com/2015/11/montessori-monday-talking-about-tragedy.html
Happy weekend!
Ha! (Just to clarify the bed is now *in* the living room!) Happy weekend!
you know….in…out….pesky prepositions 😉
peskiest.
Those crayons are beautiful!
We also just moved our sleeping place out of the bedroom and into the living room. Our 9 month old seems to sleep better and we love the extra space in the bedroom. Since our bed wouldn’t fit in the living room, we sold it and purchased a Japanese-style futon for the living room- folding it up and stashing it away during the day. The baby is upping our creativity game!
Would love to hear more about how the bedroom transition is going for you.
Hello from Santa Cruz. Such a cozy post! Love the #bluemind surfing article.
How exciting to read that the spices are all in the Boston area! 🙂 I should totally stock up on some new ones for the winter as I’m attempting to cook more at home.
Happy wkend.
