A little acknowledgement that New York has been killing it with good weather lately. It’s been all sunshine and blue skies and temperatures for pairing sweaters and sandals. Perfect, in other words.
Unless you’re in the middle of a park, autumn in New York is a thing you need to go treasure hunting for. Outside of the city, the season puts on a spectacle, but here, you need to spot signs. A touch of golden here, a deeper burgundy there.
Here are photos from yesterday’s ramble in Red Hook. My favorite neighborhood to walk to when I’m in the mood for treasure hunting.

it HAS been amazing weather right!? I went out for dinner in the LES Saturday night and the weather was PERFECT for a light bomber and boots š
The weather has been so amazing! We enjoyed it this weekend with apple picking, a trip to the LIC Flea, and hours in Gantry Park. I am loving this fall more than most!
Soooo gorgeous. I haven't been down to Red Hook in ages.
When I saw the title of the post, I wondered how you were going to produce greenery in Red Hook (which is a lovely neighborhood, don't get me wrong, but not one that I consider to be particularly green). I love the way you discovered these little gems. A good reminder to look more closely for small pockets of beauty in the city.
Gosh this makes me miss New York SO much! It's chilly here in Paris.
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous "autumn in the city" photos š
I love fall so much xx

How gorgeous. I love the idea of having to hunt around the city for little bits of fall. What a fun hunt, especially when the rewards are this beautiful.
