1. this old bronze bracelet from my mom.
{and the way it tarnishes and shines right up again after a day on the beach.}
2. this thirty-year-old owner’s manual.
{and getting to know it.}
3. lavender simple syrup in iced coffee.
{who knew? some of you!}
4. every perfect apricot.
{for being too many to count.}
5. these jellies.
{for beach days, especially.}

You got a car??? Travelling Tea Leaves 5.0
Looks supercute!
Growing up in the Bronx we had two 1982 Volvo 240’s, one after the other (my uncle hooked us up; we were on a tight budget). I learned to drive on a bright red manual 240 sedan. My parents’ current car is identical to yours! I adore those cars, always felt super safe in their sturdy boxy frame.
My one rec: check the oil level regularly and refill. If you ever have questions, feel free to reach out; my Uncle Lenny in Staten Island is an expert!
thank you, mary! we’re so excited about this old gem.
And it’s not just a car, but a 90s Volvo station wagon (I think)?! That’s a dream!
come true!!
Have you bought a Volvo wagon? I’ve had a 2000 V70 for over 10 years and I absolutely love it!
we did! a 1993 240!
Congrats on the car! So exciting!
I’m a lifelong 240 owner but always sedans. Love love love those cars. The dream is a wagon, and you found one – with the original manual!!!
Incredibly jealous as this has always been my desire, but oh so excited for you and your little fam! What fun adventures wait ahead!!
