1. this gorgeous tea.
{cold brewed. (plus my very favorite summer indulgence).}
2. this remnant fabric.
{and a habit shift i’ll share next week.}
3. this fan, pointed up.
{for making work at the standing desk much more tolerable in this very hot week.}
4. this little wooden boat.
{and a kid who set sail on the east river.}
5. these patches.
{and the kid who dictated their placement.}
other things:
for now I think I’ll continue to run my family…like a children’s theater production.
peer pressure could save us all.

I always appreciate your thoughtful links, but that beeswax exchange is such a great idea! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you RMTL for all you do for the environment and for your creativity that inspires your readers, for also raising your children in a caring and responsible way. I feel like crying to after hearing the UN report recently, especially when I see neighbors cutting down trees and spraying their grass for esthetics purposes. When YOU are truly presenting esthetically how it could be, For that I thank you for what you do and what you prove!
This is a wonderful and thought provoking collection of ideas this week! I really appreciate how your blog is a place of beauty beyond just the surface. A place for thinking about how to live and also raise our children ethically and with the common good as a guiding light. I come here for exactly this kind of peer pressure. Thank you, Erin.
oh my gosh, the Romper article on Emily Oster’s new book put into words exactly what I’ve been thinking. I didn’t have the words for it, but something has been feeling “off” about her approach. I too will continue with my children’s theater approach. 🙂
LOVED this Emily Oster article. I devoured Expecting Better and honestly that title could describe how I’ve felt about everything I’ve read from her since, lol.
