five little things that made my week.
1. this blue door.
{because i was finally brave enough to walk down the dead-end alley where it lives}.
2. this new arrangement.
{because every once in awhile it’s nice to change things around}.
3. this big bunch of ageratum.
{schlepped home with about 20 pounds of tomatoes and summer squash}.
4. these gloves
{because some cleaning jobs require special accessories}.
5. this green lawn.
{because i met james there after work and suddenly the day felt so much longer}.
other things:
intrigued by quarters.
a sunday adventure.
an architectural boat ride.
i’ve always wanted one of these.
k. you guys really didn’t like the wedding outfit. better or boring?

Lovely images.. The blue door is gorgeous, I have a thing for taking photographs of doors! x
liking that little arrangement you've got going on. quarters looks interesting, excited to find out more.
much better dress option! but then i'm biased because i almost bought it myself. contemplated it for your wedding, in fact, before deciding cotton was a better idea for the outdoors in august š
The second dress is MUCH better. I didn't comment yesterday but did think that the first dress looked a little like a house-dress. Sorry.
Better!
I think that anthropologie dress is much better. Wear it with a big, statement necklace and you won't even need any other accessories:)
after work dates outside are just the ticket
Much better dress choice! I love that photo of the park, such a nice day to be there!
Have a great weekend.
Lovely photos! I really want to paint our front door a fun color!
the architecture boat tour is now on my MUST do list. fascinating! re: the dress – the new one shown today is spot on!! ( since you asked )
i love all your pictures!
The new dress is very cute – sexy and grown up.

What type/brand of tape do you use to hang your cute collages on your walls? It looks beautiful.
The anthropologie dress is so much better. Would buy it in an instant if I had the body for it. Didn't comment yesterday, but that dress was dreadful. So glad you can take criticism meant in a helpful, loving way.
Dress – YES!!! So pretty…and a much better choice! It's more joyful, which is what the occasion is all about! Love your blog, by the way!! š
Ok, I can't agree that the dress yesterday was awful, because I loved it and think it would be great for a regular fall day, but I definitely think this one is better for a wedding.
Love the blue door! When I studied abroad, I snapped quite a collection of British doors.
I really enjoy that photo of the park. š That architectural boat ride sounds like it might be really interesting!
I love the blue door too! Great photo.

That dress?! Va va voom!
Lovely choice Erin š
I loved the outfit you chose earlier in the week and thought it would be completely appropriate wedding attire, but I also love the new dress you posted today. I suppose it's just a matter of preference and I'm sure you'll look lovely in whatever you choose.
It's funny how wearing bright yellow gloves sometimes makes house chores more fun. your blog is lovely.
Is that first picture the carriage house on Hunts Lane?? If so, I love that blue door too!
I really like that new dress that you posted today. It's pretty and it's something I would want to wear.
You are such a good photographer. I wish I could take pictures like that, but half my pictures have my thumb in them. But your pictures make me think of how important it is to stop and notice things, because so much of the time I'm rushing around and hardly noticing anything.
I love all, but especially the blue door. It looks like a gorgeous robin's egg blue. My bedroom was that color when i was a little girl. Good memories. š And that's A LOT of squash and tomatoes! Whatcha gonna do with all that? š It will probably, most likely be yummy.
this is so lovely – tomorrow i will make the point to find joy in the little things around me… thank you for reminding!
