five little things that made my week.
1. this beeswax candle.
{because it was still chilly this week and reading to this guy in the evening felt cozy}.
2. this geranium.
{because i’m not sure if it will survive in the dimness of our apartment, but i’d like it to. its coral colored sisters, too}.
3. this coffee.
{because i’d gotten out of the habit of making it in the morning. and this week i liked the ritual}.
4. this magazine.
{because it arrived unannounced and a quick flip through convinced me we’re doing this thing right}.
5. this bottle.
{because way back when i first made that salt scrub, i made some oil too. now i’m soft and scented geranium sweet}.
what about you? what little something made your week?
other things:
i’d really like one of these. please.
peach blossoms and book recommendations. favorite post {and comments} of the week.
tiebreakers.

Beautimus Erin. I hope geranium survives. if she flags, I can adopt her from you and give you some of our, ummmm…ivy?
best idea. will keep you posted, lady.

this week i loved pulling out the jacket that was always too much for a south carolina spring but is just right in new york.

What a beautiful week! Hope your weekend is just as lovely!
thanks, anita!
As I type this, I am enjoying a cup of french pressed coffee while a beeswax candle burns on the table next to several jars of flowers. They're all contributing towards making my day!
good things.
YAY! You and Bonbon are friendsies? Makes me smile.
Ok now where in NY did you get your geraniums at this time of year?!
And thanks for the book rec, lady. Have you heard her NPR interview about raising American kids in France? SO great. I'm in your old neck of the woods this weekend and sending you happy New England hugs. xo
